Community Guidelines

Last updated 14 October 2026

AOGI is a professional community for aviation. These guidelines apply to profiles, job posts, messages, community posts and comments. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users.

Be professional

Treat everyone with respect, as you would on the ramp or in the crew room. Disagreement is fine; abuse isn’t.

Be honest

  • Candidates: list only the hours, licences and ratings you actually hold.
  • Companies: post only real roles, with accurate pay, requirements and location.
  • No impersonation, fake accounts or fake job posts.

Not allowed

  • Harassment, bullying, threats or intimidation.
  • Hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or disability.
  • Sexually explicit content, or graphic violence.
  • Spam, scams, pyramid schemes and unsolicited promotions.
  • Sharing someone else’s personal information without their permission.
  • Anything illegal, or that encourages unsafe aviation practice.

Report and block

If you see something that breaks these guidelines, tap the ••• menu on the post or comment and choose Report. You can also Blockany user from their post, comment, profile or conversation: you won’t see their posts, comments or conversations, and they won’t be able to message you. You can unblock people any time in Settings → Blocked users.

What happens when guidelines are broken

We review reports and aim to act on them within 24 hours. We may remove content and warn, suspend or permanently remove the accounts of people who break these guidelines.
